Ashcroft B&B Guest House is an elegant Victorian Vicarage with spacious guest rooms and high ceilings standing in 2 acres of award winning gardens on the southern edge of Haltwhistle in Northumberland.

A family run guest house offering the highest standards of comfort and service - we have an Enjoy England Gold Award. We are continuously making improvements whilst retaining the original Victorian architectural features. A hearty Northumberland breakfast is included in the price with vegetarian options available on request.

The famous mature terraced gardens are especially colourful in Spring with 10,000 daffodils, 6000 tulips and 1000 hyacinths set against the purple aubrieta-covered walls. Throughout the summer months up to 6000 bedding plants fill the flower beds.

We have eight first floor en-suite guest rooms all with power shower and some also with a bath, along with the usual refinements. We have a family suite available and for special occasions, we have a room with a four poster bed.

After a busy day, relax in our visitors lounge with its marble fireplace, original wooden floor and plenty of comfy settees, armchairs and a large flat screen TV.

Haltwhistle itself is ideally located in lovely countryside close to the Roman wall - Hadrian's Wall - We are a short drive away from the Scottish Borders, historic Carlisle with its famous castle and Tullie House Museum, North Pennines AONB and the market towns of Alston, Hexham and Corbridge. The Lake Dsitrict is also an easy drive away.

We DO NOT accept pets - sorry - and we are completely NO SMOKING, although smoking is permitted outside. Most major credit cards are accepted.
