Seven of us from Texas visited Haltwhistle in Sept 2013 staying at the Ashcroft Guest House for one night. We were treated like long lost relatives, enjoyed very comfortable rooms and were greeted in the morning to a very sumptuous breakfast. Having arrived by train we did not have a car. A tour of the Hadrian's Wall with a guide was arranged so that we could see the area before leaving later in the day.Thanks you all for your hospitality and making our stay in Haltwhistle one we shall remember for a long time to come. - Ms. NancyL
